Be inspired, be inspiring, believe in yourself and pursue your dreams… This is the mantra which underpins Faye De Lanty’s debut collection for her label Love Chile (pronounced “Chyle” a 70’s slang word for child). It’s been a long term dream of Faye’s to have her own fashion label, but before she embarked on this journey she wanted to ensure her label had substance and reason and was in tune with her lifestyle and philosophy. Faye, a love child herself, is a lover of 70’s rock n’ roll and spirituality and has worked tirelessly to ensure her range truly embodies this vibe. The name Love Chile was born about a year ago when she was being true to her free spirit and running wild in LA and NYC.

The Run Wild My Love Chile range epitomises the hedonistic nature of the 70’s. The tees are designed to be a generous and sexy fit whilst the singlets have that true rock star quality - worn in and disheveled looking. The clothing range is made from 100% certified organic cotton, sourced and made here in Australia (YAY!). The designs are her own - Faye worked closely with her graphic designer to develop the unique images for her range. Combined with affirmation like statements, the wearer is bound to be empowered and feel confident. Faye says “Make this tee your own, stretch the neck, roll the sleeves or cut the hem off…. Tell your own story lady Love Chile. Wear it well!

To truly express your free spirit don a gorgeous hand plaited suede headband, adorned with sweet little, hand casted, American Indian trinkets, feathers or Swarovski crystal and beads. These funky headpieces can also be made to order for that special outfit and event. I’m thinking the races and standing out from the crowd at that party. Do your own thing, own it, wear it, make it yours!

My fav?? Hmm… a tough one, I’m sure on another day, in another mood I’d definitely chose another. However, today, I have to say it’s the free loving, crazy times inducing Run Wild My Love Chile tee. More and more t-shirts are becoming a staple wardrobe piece and what better tee to own and flaunt knowing that it was made with such passion, love and willingness to inspire.

In addition to all this fabulousness Love Chile has founded an alliance with the Butterfly Foundation, a community based charitable organisation that supports Australians with Eating Disorders and their carers, a cause Faye believes in wholeheartedly. Love Chile is set to release a special edition range to help raise funds and awareness for the Butterfly Foundation. Hand tie-dyed pieces will be available and proceeds will be donated to the Butterfly Foundation.
